Naqsh-e Rostam

Naqsh-e Rostam is an ancient necropolis near Persepolis in the province of Fars, Iran. It contains the rock-cut tombs of Achaemenid kings and later Sasanian rock reliefs. Among these is the relief celebrating Shapur I's triumph over Rome, including the capture of Emperor Valerian in 260 CE, a key monument of the early Sasanian Empire.
