Nasrullah Khan (emir of Bukhara)

d. 1860 · 19th century

Nasrullah Khan was emir of Bukhara from 1827 to 1860, of the Manghit dynasty. He seized the throne after his father's death, eliminating his brothers, and spent his reign centralising power at the expense of the tribal nobility and fighting the Khanate of Kokand. He became notorious in Britain for executing the British officers Charles Stoddart and Arthur Conolly in 1842.
