Nehesy

fl. c. 1705 BCE · 18th century BCE

Nehesy was a king of the Fourteenth Dynasty of Egypt, which ruled the eastern Nile Delta in the Second Intermediate Period, and is the best-attested ruler of that line. His name means the Nubian. He reigned briefly around 1705 BCE, and monuments bearing his name have been found at Avaris and Tell el-Muqdam, where he is described as beloved of the god Seth, lord of Avaris.
