Neris
The Neris is a river of Belarus and Lithuania, about 510 kilometres long, known in Belarus as the Viliya. It rises in Belarus, flows through Vilnius and joins the Neman at Kaunas. Its valley formed part of the heartland of the early Lithuanian state, and the capital Vilnius grew up at its confluence with the Vilnia.
