Newcastle West

Newcastle West is a market town in western County Limerick, Ireland. It grew around a castle of the FitzGerald earls of Desmond, who made it one of their main seats in western Munster. The restored Desmond Hall, a 15th-century banqueting hall within the castle complex, survives in the town centre.
