Ngangelizwe
Ngangelizwe was king of the Thembu in the present-day Eastern Cape, South Africa, in the second half of the 19th century. His reign saw wars with the Gcaleka Xhosa under Sarhili, and he accepted British authority to secure support, opening Thembuland to Cape magistrates. The territory was annexed to the Cape Colony in 1885, shortly after his death.
