Nguni
The Nguni are a group of related Bantu-speaking peoples of south-eastern Africa, including the Zulu, Xhosa, Swati and Ndebele. During the Mfecane of the early nineteenth century, heavily armed Nguni-speaking groups moved north across the Zimbabwean plateau. The Rozvi Empire, lacking firearms in quantity, could not withstand their raiding forces.
