Ossossane
Ossossane was a large Wendat (Huron) village in Huronia, in what is now Simcoe County, Ontario, the main town of the Bear nation. It was the site of a Jesuit mission in the 1630s. In 1636 a great Feast of the Dead was held there, and the communal ossuary associated with it has been excavated by archaeologists.
