Peña Amaya
Peña Amaya is a flat-topped mountain in the north of the province of Burgos, Spain, the site of an ancient hill fort of the Cantabri. It remained an important stronghold in Roman and Visigothic times and was captured by the Visigothic king Leovigild in 574. After the Muslim conquest it was resettled in 860 for the Kingdom of Asturias by Count Rodrigo of Castile.
