Polish–Ottoman War (1620–1621)
The Polish–Ottoman War of 1620–1621 was fought between the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Ottoman Empire over Moldavia and Cossack raids on Ottoman lands. A Polish army was destroyed at Cecora in 1620, where Hetman Stanisław Żółkiewski was killed, but in 1621 Polish and Cossack forces held off Osman II at Khotyn, and the Treaty of Khotyn restored the earlier frontier.
