Pravahana Jaivali
Pravahana Jaivali was a king of Panchala who appears in the Chandogya and Brihadaranyaka Upanishads. In these texts he instructs the Brahmin Uddalaka Aruni and his son Shvetaketu in the doctrine of the five fires and the paths of the dead, one of the earliest statements of the idea of rebirth, a teaching said to have belonged to kings rather than priests.
