Qudshanis
Qudshanis is a village in Hakkâri Province in south-eastern Turkey. From the 17th century until the First World War it was the seat of the Shimun line of patriarchs of the Church of the East, who led the Assyrian Christian tribes of the Hakkari mountains. The Assyrians were driven from the region during the massacres and wars of 1914–1918, and the patriarchate moved into exile.
