Romanians

Romanians are a people of south-eastern Europe who speak a Romance language derived from Latin. Within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, large Romanian communities lived in Transylvania and other eastern regions under Hungarian administration. Accounts of the Austro-Hungarian Empire list them among the many nationalities whose aspirations shaped the politics of the multinational monarchy.
