Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk, Belarus, was built in the mid-11th century, probably under Prince Vseslav of Polotsk, as the principality's chief church, matching the Sophia cathedrals of Kyiv and Novgorod. Damaged and rebuilt several times, it was reconstructed in Baroque style for the Uniate church in the mid-18th century. It is now a museum and concert hall.
