Sanjan
Sanjan is a town in Valsad district, Gujarat, India, on the coast north of Mumbai. In the early Middle Ages it was a busy port trading with the Persian Gulf, and according to the Qissa-i Sanjan it was where Zoroastrian refugees from Iran, the ancestors of the Parsis, landed and settled. Excavations have found evidence of its medieval trade and a Zoroastrian burial site.
