Parsis

Also known as Parsi

The Parsis are a Zoroastrian community in western India, descended from Zoroastrians who left Iran after the Arab conquest. They preserved the religious tradition that had been the state faith of the Sasanian Empire. Though small in number, they have had a significant cultural and economic influence in India.
