Sarbat Khalsa
The Sarbat Khalsa, "the entire Khalsa", was the general assembly of the Sikh community, which met at the Akal Takht in Amritsar, usually at Baisakhi and Diwali, during the 18th century. Leaders of the misls gathered there to settle disputes and plan joint campaigns, and its collective resolutions, gurmatta, were binding on all. Ranjit Singh stopped convening it after 1805.
