Saxnot
Saxnot was a god of the pagan Saxons, named with Thunaer and Woden in the Old Saxon baptismal vow of the late eighth or ninth century, which required converts to renounce them. He appears as Seaxneat, a son of Woden, at the head of the genealogy of the kings of Essex. His name may mean 'sword companion', and he may have been regarded as the ancestor of the Saxons.
