Serranía de Ronda
The Serranía de Ronda is a range of limestone mountains in the west of Málaga province, Andalusia, Spain, around the town of Ronda. Its rugged terrain long favoured rebels and bandits: in the 9th century Umar ibn Hafsun held out at nearby Bobastro, and in 1570 it was a stronghold of the Morisco revolt. Parts of it are now protected as natural parks.
