Shawl
A shawl is a large piece of cloth worn over the shoulders or head. Kashmir was famous for fine shawls woven from pashmina wool, which became luxury goods sought in Europe. Accounts of the Sikh Empire describe the shawl trade from Kashmir through Lahore and Amritsar as an important part of the empire's commercial networks.
