Shimaore
Shimaore is a Bantu language spoken in Mayotte, one of the varieties of Comorian and closely related to Swahili. It is the native language of most of the island's population and has absorbed many words from Arabic, Malagasy and French. It coexists with Kibushi, a Malagasy language, and with French, the official language of Mayotte as a French department.
