Sukerchakia misl
The Sukerchakia misl was one of the Sikh confederacies of 18th-century Punjab, based at Gujranwala and founded by Charat Singh. Under his son Maha Singh it grew strong, and his grandson Ranjit Singh used it as the base for capturing Lahore in 1799 and absorbing the other misls into the Sikh Empire, of which he was proclaimed maharaja in 1801.
