Sulzbach-Rosenberg
Sulzbach-Rosenberg is a town in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria, Germany. Seat of the counts of Sulzbach in the 11th and 12th centuries, it was a centre of the medieval iron industry, which with nearby Amberg made the region known as the 'Ruhr of the Middle Ages'. From 1656 it was the capital of the duchy of Palatinate-Sulzbach, whose court welcomed scholars and Hebrew printers.
