Surajkund
Surajkund is an ancient reservoir in Faridabad, Haryana, just south of Delhi, built like an amphitheatre with stone steps descending to the water on a semicircular plan. Tradition attributes it to a Tomara king named Surajpal in the 10th century, and it is thought to have been linked with a temple of the sun. It now gives its name to a large annual crafts fair.
