Tabula Rapinensis

3rd century BCE · 3rd century BCE · Also known as Rapino bronze

The Tabula Rapinensis is a small bronze tablet found at Rapino in Abruzzo, central Italy, inscribed in the Italic dialect of the Marrucini in the Latin alphabet, probably in the 3rd century BCE. It records a sacred regulation of the community of Teate, apparently about the cult of Jupiter and of a goddess, and is the main surviving text in the Marrucinian dialect.
