Tallapoosa River
The Tallapoosa is a river of Georgia and Alabama in the United States, which joins the Coosa to form the Alabama River. Many of the Upper Towns of the Muscogee stood on its banks, and Andrew Jackson's defeat of the Red Sticks at Horseshoe Bend in 1814 took place in one of its bends.
