Telugu Cholas
The Telugu Cholas, or Telugu Chodas, were families of chiefs in the Telugu country who claimed descent from the Tamil Chola kings. The most important line ruled from Nellore in the 12th and 13th centuries, acting at times as feudatories of the Cholas and Kakatiyas; its ruler Manumasiddhi was patron of the poet Tikkana.
