Person
Tonyukuk
Tonyukuk was a statesman and military adviser of the Second Turkic Khaganate, who died in 726. He served several qaghans and is commemorated in an Old Turkic inscription that recounts his role in rebuilding Turkic power. The deaths of Tonyukuk, Kül Tigin and Bilge Qaghan within a few years removed the khaganate's entire governing cohort, contributing to its collapse.
