Treaty of Kalisz (1813)
The Treaty of Kalisz (Kalisch) was signed on 28 February 1813 between Russia and Prussia after Napoleon's disastrous retreat from Moscow. Prussia abandoned its forced alliance with France and joined Russia in war against Napoleon, and Russia promised to restore Prussia to its strength before 1806. It opened the German campaign of 1813, which led to the Battle of Leipzig.
