Vaishali
Vaishali was an ancient city in the north of present-day Bihar in eastern India, associated with the early Buddhist and Jain traditions. In the Gupta period it was an important urban centre. Accounts of the Gupta Empire name it, with Pataliputra and Ujjain, among the commercial and administrative hubs of the empire.
