Vakpati Munja
Vakpati Munja was a king of the Paramara dynasty of Malwa in central India in the late 10th century. A poet and patron of scholars, he raided neighbouring kingdoms, including the Kalachuris, Guhilas and Chahamanas, and fought repeatedly against Tailapa II of the Western Chalukya Empire, who finally captured and executed him in the 990s. His nephew Bhoja became the dynasty's most celebrated ruler.
