Venetic
Venetic is an extinct Indo-European language spoken by the ancient Veneti in north-eastern Italy, recorded in some 300 inscriptions from about the 6th to the 1st century BCE. It was written in alphabets derived from Etruscan and shows affinities with Latin and the other Italic languages. It was gradually replaced by Latin after the Roman conquest.
