Veroli

Also known as Verulae

Veroli, ancient Verulae, is a hill town of the Hernici in southern Lazio, Italy, above the Sacco valley. With Ferentinum and Aletrium it stayed loyal to Rome in the Hernican revolt of 306 BCE and was allowed to keep its own laws. Stretches of its polygonal walls survive, and the medieval Casamari Abbey lies in its territory.
