Washukanni
Washukanni was the capital of the Mitanni Empire, probably located in the Khabur valley of north-eastern Syria, though its exact site has not been confirmed. It was sacked by the Hittite king Suppiluliuma I around 1340 BCE. This was a decisive blow to Mitanni's independence.
