Wiener Neustadt

Wiener Neustadt is a city in Lower Austria, south of Vienna, founded in 1194 by Duke Leopold V of Austria as a fortified frontier town against Hungary. Emperor Frederick III often resided in its castle in the 15th century, and he and his son Maximilian I are associated with it. The castle has housed the Theresian Military Academy since 1751.
