Wola
Wola is an area on the western outskirts of historic Warsaw, now a district of the city. In the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the field of Wola was the site of royal elections. The king was chosen there by the entire szlachta nobility in mass elections, a distinctive feature of the Commonwealth's elective monarchy.
