Yugurs
The Yugurs, also called Yellow Uyghurs, are an ethnic group of about 14,000 people living mainly in Sunan Yugur Autonomous County in Gansu, China. They are commonly regarded as descendants of the Ganzhou Uyghurs, who settled in the Hexi Corridor after the fall of the Uyghur Khaganate in 840. Some speak a Turkic language and others a Mongolic one, and most follow Tibetan Buddhism.
