Zadok
Zadok was a priest of King David and Solomon according to the Hebrew Bible. With the prophet Nathan he anointed Solomon king against the claims of Adonijah, whose supporter Abiathar was then banished, and he became the first high priest of the Temple in Jerusalem; his descendants, the Zadokites, held the high priesthood for centuries.
