d. 1146 · 12th century · Also known as Ahmad Sayf al-Dawla

Zafadola, as Christians called Ahmad Sayf al-Dawla, was the last prince of the Hudid dynasty of Zaragoza. Holding the castle of Rueda de Jalón, he became a vassal of Alfonso VII of Castile, exchanging Rueda for lands near Toledo, and tried to win power in al-Andalus as the Almoravid regime collapsed. He was killed in battle near Chinchilla in 1146.
