Zulju

fl. 1320 · 14th century · Also known as Dulucha

Zulju (Dulucha) was a Mongol or Turkic commander who invaded Kashmir in 1320 with a large army, plundering, burning and enslaving across the valley for about eight months. King Suhadeva fled, and the devastation allowed the Ladakhi prince Rinchan to seize power; the Lohara dynasty's rule collapsed, and Shah Mir founded the Sultanate of Kashmir in 1339.
