Zülpich

Also known as Tolbiacum

Zülpich is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, west of Bonn, on the site of the Roman settlement of Tolbiacum. It is associated with the battle in which the Franks defeated the Alemanni around 496, traditionally linked with the conversion of Clovis I, and Sigibert of Cologne was wounded fighting there. In 612 Theuderic II defeated his brother Theudebert II near the town.
