Aeacidae
The Aeacidae were the royal house of the Molossians and the Kingdom of Epirus, who claimed descent from Neoptolemus, son of Achilles and grandson of Aeacus. Its members included Olympias, mother of Alexander the Great, and Pyrrhus, who fought Rome in the 3rd century BCE. The line ended around 232 BCE, when Queen Deidamia was killed and the Epirotes abolished the monarchy.
