Molossians

The Molossians were the leading tribe of ancient Epirus, in north-western Greece, around Dodona and the Ioannina basin. Ruled by the Aeacid kings, who claimed descent from Achilles, they united the Epirote tribes under their leadership and produced Olympias and Pyrrhus. In 167 BCE Rome sold 150,000 Epirotes into slavery, devastating their land.
