Zeus
Zeus was the chief god of the ancient Greek pantheon, ruler of the sky and of the Olympian gods, and guardian of oaths, hospitality and kingship. His great sanctuaries included Olympia, where the Olympic Games were held in his honour, and the oracle at Dodona in Epirus. Local cults across the Greek world worshipped him under many epithets, such as Zeus Olbios at Olba in Cilicia.
