Zeugitana

Zeugitana was the northern region of Roman Africa, around Carthage, in what is now northern Tunisia. The name was used for the old core of the province of Africa Proconsularis after Diocletian's reforms around 303 separated Byzacena and Tripolitania. Fertile and densely settled, it was a major source of grain and olive oil for Rome.
