Achilles
Achilles is the greatest Greek warrior of the Trojan War in Greek legend and the central figure of Homer's Iliad. The son of the hero Peleus and the sea-nymph Thetis, he killed the Trojan prince Hector and was himself killed by an arrow of Paris. He was worshipped as a hero, notably around the Black Sea at Olbia and on the island of Leuke, and the Molossian kings of Epirus claimed descent from his son Neoptolemus.
