Anhaica

Anhaica was the principal town of the Apalachee chiefdom in northern Florida, located within modern Tallahassee. Hernando de Soto's expedition seized it and spent the winter of 1539–1540 there. Its site, the Governor Martin site, was located by the archaeologist B. Calvin Jones in 1987.
