Apollo Delphinios

Apollo Delphinios was a form of the Greek god Apollo, linked to dolphins, the sea and the founding of colonies. His cult was especially strong in Miletus and the cities it founded around the Black Sea, such as Olbia, and was also a chief cult at Massalia. His temples often held civic records and served as centres of city life.
