The Aqtaghliq, or 'White Mountain' faction, was one of two rival branches of the Naqshbandi khojas who dominated the religious and political life of Kashgaria in the 17th and 18th centuries. Led by Afaq Khoja and his descendants, they contended with the Qarataghliq ('Black Mountain') khojas, and in 1680 invited the Dzungars to conquer the Yarkent Khanate. Their power ended with the Qing conquest of 1759.
