Aricia
Aricia was an ancient Latin town in the Alban Hills south-east of Rome, near modern Ariccia. Close to the sanctuary of Diana at Lake Nemi, it was a meeting place of the Latin League. Around 504 BCE the Latins, aided by Aristodemus of Cumae, defeated an Etruscan army there. It later became a Roman municipium on the Via Appia.
